AN OPEN LETTER FOR A QUIET YEAR
|
Hello & Hola,
ITZATNA Arts is entering a key time we call our ‘Quiet Year.’ After more than four years of hard work in creating and performing, we will use this time for reflection and consolidation. This period will last from July 2025 to July 2026. It will allow us to rest, reassess, plan for the future, do some training, skill development, travel, and research to help ITZATNA grow. We want to thank all the artists, activists, theatres, galleries, community gardens, charities, and organisations that have supported us over the years. After the intensity of our recent projects, we realise we need some downtime. These projects have pushed us to grow while managing our limited resources. Now, we will explore sustainable production methods to deliver high-quality work without compromising our well-being. We will face various financial, legal, and bureaucratic challenges this year. Addressing these issues will be important for our future goals and sustainability. This time will also help us think about our future and plan our organisation’s direction over the next 5, 10, or 20 years. During this Quiet Year, we won’t be able to support the following:
However, we are still available to:

We are planning our projects for late 2026 and 2027, and we hope you will keep us in mind for opportunities during that time! Thank you for understanding the importance of this Quiet Year. We look forward to collaborating with you in new and meaningful ways in the future. Best wishes, ITZATNA Arts |
